We are a movement powered by neighbours who believe in the promise of our community. Together, we connect people, places, and possibilities along Lake Shore Boulevard West. We advocate for a safer, more vibrant neighbourhood full of energy and pride, supporting thoughtful development and a thriving retail corridor that invites everyone to live, work, dine, and play.
A Village by the Lake
We visualize a South Etobicoke where young families can settle with confidence, where children can safely learn and play in our parks, and where shopkeepers have the support they need to grow and thrive. New Toronto stands at the heart of this vision - a vital connector community that brings the entire ‘Shore to life. We advocate for a community that is safe, welcoming, and connected for all.
Initiative and Accountability
We don’t wait for change; we take initiative. We link neighbours, uplift local businesses, and advocate for responsible investment that brings new life to our streets and parks. We demand fairness for Ratepayers and, when city decisions fall short, we stand up to hold officials to account. Our goal is to connect residents, retailers, and law enforcement to make real, lasting improvements.
Advocacy rooted in integrity
At New Toronto Initiative, we practice advocacy that is transparent, lawful, and grounded in reality. We do more than point out problems. We put forward better, workable alternatives.
Our work is fact-based. When we engage with the City of Toronto and other decision-makers, we come prepared. We focus on practical solutions and draw on real lived experience from the community.
We are principled. We believe ratepayers deserve fairness and balance. If decisions are rushed, rules are ignored, or standards are applied unevenly, we will challenge them and insist on accountability.
We are non-partisan. We are not aligned with any political ideology. Our priority is the community — its stability, safety, and long-term well-being.
